Twinkle Lites are our specialized LED bulbs made to replicate the random effect of incandescent twinkle bulbs.
They flash on and off randomly every few seconds, and because C7 and C9 sockets are powered individually, each bulb will "animate" independently of one another. This also means that you can use only a handful of Twinkle Lites on a single strand if you only want a little twinkling, or, the entire strand can be twinkling.
We've done our best to make our Twinkle Lites as similar to incandescents as possible, so it's unlikely you'll ever find multiple bulbs synced up with one another, and in the event that they do, they will quickly fall back out of sync, just like incandescents twinkle bulbs would.
Their randomness is achieved through a small chip located in the base of each bulb which creates the unique twinkling pattern. Because of this additional internal circuitry that helps them flash on and off randomly, Twinkle Lites unfortunately cannot be used in conjunction with a dimmer like our steady-lit C7 and C9 bulbs can.
Our Twinkle Lites are also Dura-Bulbs, which offer benefits over our glass bulbs, such as being shatterproof, more colorfast and more weathertight.
Twinkle Lites are available in both Jeweltone and Candleglow versions in both C7 and C9 sizes.
