How can I get the best photos of my Tru-Tone bulbs?

We often photograph our lights with an iPhone. They keep getting better at capturing them, but here's a helpful trick: you can typically get better exposure of the lights when there is more ambient lighting in the space. When it's dark out, or in your home with the lights out, the contrast is too great, so your camera will overexpose the bulbs, washing them out.

We recommend taking photos outside as the sun is setting – it requires some advanced planning, but it’s worth it! You can also adjust the exposure of your photo, either in the native camera app, or even more so with a third party app, such as ProCam. No image compares to seeing the lit bulbs with your own eyes, but these tips should help. Also, always remember to clean your lens! 😉
