Tru-Tone LED bulbs are proudly designed in the USA and manufactured to our precise specifications by the largest glass light bulb manufacturer in China.
Unfortunately, no U.S. glass light bulb manufacturers with the capability to produce these types of bulbs have existed for decades, and the few remaining facilities that can meet our needs are located overseas.
While we would love to see these bulbs produced domestically for many beneficial reasons, as a very small business with limited resources, this goal is not realistic in the short term. Establishing US-based manufacturing would almost certainly increase the cost of our bulbs (which are already costly to produce) while still requiring critical components to be sourced internationally.
A Note on Tariffs
We recognize the original intent of tariffs in supporting domestic industry, but their misuse only threatens the existence of small businesses like ours. Ironically, they can make it less likely that Christmas lights would ever be able to be manufactured in the US again by harming small businesses and limiting their opportunity for growth.
