Removing the lights from their cardboard insert packaging can be a little, tricky, but with a few tips, you can both protect your lights and keep the packaging in good shape for many years to come!
The light strings in our complete light sets are attached to the cardboard insert by the socket clips. To remove the individual sockets, simply pull the socket downwards until the clip releases through both holes, as shown here:
It may help to hold the cardboard insert a folded position to make removal even easier:
It's always a good idea to save the packaging to protect your light bulbs when they're not being used.
At the end of the season, you can simply reverse the process to re-package your lights and protect them in storage.
